TMP108: Does ALERT pin support I2C interface?

Does ALERT pin support I2C interface? We know it supports SMBus but want to use in I2C. thanks.

    Thanks for posting in the sensors forum.

    The alert pin will properly trigger when using either I2C or SMBus interfaces with the TMP108, neither will cause issues. The SMBus alert function that the device supports is just useful to determine which device is sending the alert once the master sees the Alert pin pulled down. 

    You can still use this command when using an I2C interface, simply send an I2C read to I2C Address 0x0C, and you will receive the slave address of the device that triggered the alert.
