DRV5013-Q1: QB2D527 - Maximum thermal load capacitance

Part Number: DRV5013-Q1

Hello,

a customer would like ot know the maximum thermal load capacitance of P/N: DRV5013ADEDBZRQ1.

Can you please advise?

Thank you very much.

Best regards

Adnan

  • Adnan,

    Thanks for choosing TI!

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "thermal" load capacitance? Are you wanting to know the maximum load capacitance over temperature?

Regardless, as this is an open drain device, the capacitance should not be dictated by the device, but rather by the system. Inclusion of load capacitance on the output line will form an RC response with your pull-up resistor. A larger load capacitance will amount to a longer time needed to successfully pull-down and release and the line. You will need to take this into account in the design of your system to ensure proper magnetic state is sensed in a time by whatever device you are feeding the output into. There is some additional information and an equation for this in section 7.3.4 of the datasheet.
