LDC1614-Q1: Conversion time

Can you send me your register settings so that I can double check? If you wait longer are you getting a conversion? Also, is this with the EVM?

Relevant registers to double-check are:

ERROR_CONFIG register: DRDY2_INT

CONFIG register: SLEEP_MODE_EN

MUX_CONFIG register: AUTOSCAN_EN, RR_SEQUENCE

When I change the conversion time shorter from 10ms to 7ms, then I start to get a conversion, but not 100%. I still miss some data.

Please let me know if you find anything. Are you able to look at the INx signals on an oscilloscope? It might be helpful to verify the conversion time that way.

Address 0x19, ERROR_CONFIG register　: DRDY_2INT　＝０（INT not used）

Address 0x1A, CONFIG register　: SLEEP_MODE_EN　＝　０（Sleep mode not used ＝Active　Mode）

Address 0x1B, MUX_CONFIG register　: AUTOSCAN_EN　＝　１（Auto　Scan　Mode),  RR_SEQUENCE＝10（4ch scan mode）

Thank you, I will test this out myself in the next few days.

On the bench, I can see that the LDC1614 follows the expected conversion time. I even tracked the INTB pin, and it asserts itself around 42ms after the start of a conversion based on your configuration.

I suggest looking at the INx waveforms on the oscilloscope. You can also enable INTB and look at that on the oscilloscope. That should help you debug when your MCU is reading the data and when new data is available. You should be able to measure that the conversion time is about 42ms. If you are able to confirm this, then the issue is probably related to your firmware.

By the way I changed the RCOUNT to 17500 (0x445C) which should be conversion time of 7ms(28ms for 4ch),

then I check the status register in 48ms, all 4 channel is UNREADCONV.

It still sometimes fail, but it is very rare.

I don't know why the previous settings did not work for you. If these settings work and the noise floor is acceptable (noise floor increases with lower RCOUNT settings), then I don't see a problem.
