Hi team,

I am planning to use multiple layer inductor construction in order to increase Rp value for my LDC1614-Q1 measurement.

I read a past e2e thread that this construction intended for direct Rp measurement device and LDC1614-Q1 is not applicable.

But when I calculate the Rp of my coil, it is too small and difficult to cover one IDRIVE setting.

So in order to increase Rp value, I would like to try this multiple layer inductor construction.

Then is there any design guideline, cautions, restrictions to design this for LDC1614-Q1?

Shinji,

Using a multiple layer inductor to increase Rp is fine for the LDC1614. The LDC1614 can measure changes of inductance, but cannot measure changes in Rp. It still needs the Rp of the sensor to be in a certain region to work.
