Hello, I am using a stand alone configuration of IWR6843ISK + MMWAVEICBOOST.

I want to do some tests and try to design a motion sensor with the capability to count people. But I am having troubles to connect the board to the computer I have installed mmWave Studio 2.1 due I have the E2.0 version of the IWR6843 sensor. I have attached the images of my board as it is configured and the results that I get in the mmwave studio software.

Perhaps I am configuring something wrong but I can't identify what it is.

    You need a DCA1000 to connect the mmWave EVM you have to mmWave studio. Otherwise, you can use your current hardware to run all of the demos on TIREX.



  • I am trying the two different approach that TIREX suggest either Uniflash or CCS, but some of the demos does are not present in CCS and Uniflash give an error trying to open the COM port. I have alll three modules Standard, Overhead and AoP, but could make any of them to work with my computer. 

    I found that the EVM for AoP suit better what I want to try due it has a Bluetooth unit integrated on it. But I could not find an User Guide for that board as stand alone.

    My first issue is to reach communication to be able to program the devices, I found some cross information about the uses and configurations a bit confuse.

    Having the MMWAVEICBOOST, IWR6843AOPEVM, IWR6843ISK-ODS and IWR6843ISK available what it is the best configuration and software that I shall use to develop a detector of people in an field of view specific with a range of about 20-50m?

    I ask excuse due it is the first time I am using this units.

  • I have solved the communication issues, using Uniflash It works now in al the EVM that I have.

    Now will start the real work try to develop the right software for the application I want to implement
