Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV5032, DRV5012
Hi Team,
There is a product requirement as follows:
- Closed product structure, powered by coin-cell battery
- Long-term storage (more than 1 year) after production is completed
- When it is needed, it needs to be activated with an external magnetic field
Customer considers using DRV5011 or similar latching Hall sensors. Its output opens and closes the power supply of the entire circuit. Because the lowest current consumption is required during storage.
The customer found that the ICC current of the DRV5011 is about 2.3mA and the coin cell battery capacity is about 100mAh, which obviously consumes too much. He saw the ICC current of the DRV5032 at the microampere level. He does not understand the ICC parameters.
Question:
- How to understand the ICC current of DRV5011? Is it a quiescent current without applying a magnetic field, or is the magnetic field exceeding the working current after BRP or BOP?
- If DRV5011 cannot meet this demand, would you recommend any other plan?
Best Regards,
Annie
