DRV401: what evm to use?

Hello,
customer wants to evaluate the DRV401. I couldn't find an evm on the webpage. What evm should he use for evaluation?

I am sorry but we do not have an evaluation module for this device and there is no plan on making one.

why do we have no evm for the DRV401?
What is your suggestion for the customer? Start with DRV421 evm? Build own PCB?

Hello Holger,

The decision for no EVM I cannot comment on. I would suggest the customer build their own PCB like the DRV421 but keep in mind that the package is different. DRV401 is 5mm x 5mm and the DRV421 is 4mm x 4mm. I would look at the DRV421EVM for guidance but I can look at the customers layout and schematic if required. I would base the design like that seen in datasheet labeled "Basic Connection Circuit" Figure 8 in DRV401 or if using DRV401-Q1 figure 42. They are the same figure.
