Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV425
The land pattern for the DRV425-Q1 calls out mounting solder pads A1, A2, A3, and A4 (note these pads are called out on the DRV425-Q1 but not the DRV425). I was wondering if these pads are internally connected to any other pin of the package via the silicon die or any other connection.
If these are true NC pads, is there any reason I could not connect the "A" pads to a net that also connects to a pin on the device? For example when laying out the PCB for the device could I polygon pour GND over the "A" pads and pins 7, 10, 18, & 20?
Lastly, are the mounting pads internally connected to each other in any way? For example could I connect A1 to GND, A2 to VDD, A3 to DRV2, and A4 to BSEL?
