CCS/BOOSTXL-BASSENSORS: i2ctemp code not working

Hi Shivendra,

The address of the TMP116 is 0x48. Have you connected the cable for the TMP116?

The other devices on this board have addresses 0x40 and 0x44. I'm not sure why your software is attempting to read 0x41 and 0x49. I've asked someone from the microcontroller team to take a look at your post.

same problem still exist after changing the address.

Are you using the Sensor and Actuator Plugin example i2ctmp116? Can you let me know what version of the SimpleLink Sensor and Actuator Plugin you are using? Also, please verify that your have the TMP116 sensor attached with the ribbon cable with the black tab facing upward as shown below:

Yes, I attached the cable exactly same as mentioned above.

Previously, when I was using CCS 9.3 it was working fine. Since, I have upgraded the version it stopped working giving the following error: 

I2C slave address 0x41 not acknowledged!
I2C slave address 0x49 not acknowledged!
I2C slave address 0x48 not acknowledged!
Failed to detect a sensor!

I tried installing CCS 9.3 again and tried running it again but still the problem is same.

Can you confirm that you haven't made any modifications to the i2ctmp example? You can try deleting the project from your workspace and re-importing it from the SDK. Additionally, can you take a photo of your LaunchPad, BoosterPack, and attached TMP116?

The software will try addresses 0x41 and 0x49 first since there are multiple sensors supported by this example.

I haven't made any modification in the code, I am using the downloaded code from the resource explorer directly. I have already deleted it several times from the workspace and imported it again but the problem still exists.

Thank you posting pictures of your hardware. I believe this may be a hardware issue. Can you please try running the example i2copt3001? This will use the OPT3001 ambient light sensor on the BASSENSORS BoosterPack. Hopefully this will help us isolate the issue.

Another troubleshooting measure would be to detach and re-attach the ribbon cable to the TMP116 sensor to ensure it is seated properly in the connector.,

I tried Running i2copt3001, it is also showing the error and not working. And i tried for detaching and re-attaching the cable still the issue exists.

Let's try one more thing to see if it's a hardware issue:

It is a TMP116 example from the Sensor and Actuator Plugin. You can run it in CCS Cloud so you won't need to install anything else. Just click the "import" icon in the upper right corner of the window. I recommend running it in the cloud IDE to eliminate any other issues with your CCS installation.

The only other thing I can think of is to ensure you have the BoosterPack plugged in correctly on the LaunchPad. Ensure the 3V3 pins on the LaunchPad and BoosterPack are connected together and all the other pins are connected.

I tried everything above you mentioned but the problem is still the same. I also tried it on the same new hardware still the problem is same.

I also tried doing it with cloud Directly, still the problem is same.
