DRV5032: DRV5032 Application Issue

Thanks for reaching out. I agree with your comment, if i look at that Flux density picture you attached the DRV5032 seems to be in a region where the flux density will be between 2-4mT.  You may not have enough flux density to change the output of the IC.

What is the DRV5032 variation you are using for this application?

I dont think there is a need to test, i can clearly see in the graph that the flux density region the IC is in is not enough to change the state of the output. They will have to be mindful of he BOP and BRP ranges. One thing your customer can do is calculate the min and max distance the magnet can be from the sensor using the calculator available in the product folder. Below i attached an example using a ferrite type magnetic material.

No i cannot help measure BOP, please refer to the above recommended tools. As far as a buffer goes your customer just needs to verify that you are above the BOP threshold considering their operating conditions and lifetime of the product. They should reference the magnet provider datasheet and verify  that will not demagnetize significantly over time.
