TMP107 datasheet recommends using tri-state buffer and 100ohm resister at Rx pin, while boostxl design uses open drain buffer. For new designs is any particular configuration recommended?

I prefer the open drain buffer for simplicity, but we don't have any other reason to recommend one over the other.

Thanks for your reply. Is 100ohm resistance recommended at Rx in open drain design? Boostxl design connects Rx directly to buffer output.
Hi Rushabh,
The 100ohm resistor is not required. If your MCU's RX is capable of being driven as an output, this resistor could protect it from contesting with the external driver during startup/configuration of the MCU. When RX is an input, the 100ohm should not provide any additional function over what the 10ohm provides.
