Dear Sir / Madam,

I am interested in "LMP91051" which was referred to me on a forum. I have to concerns regarding LMP91051.

1.Is it medical grade? it is not mentioned anywhere in the datasheet.

2. Can I get something more cheaper and smaller than this.

the LMP91501 is not "medical grade", I'm sure that is a term that could be interpreted broadly - but to us i think it means a part which is used in a life critical application. I am not sure that an IR thermometer would be used in a way it could be considered life critical, but I have not seen everything...:)

Here you can see a whitepaper which outlines that from a TI perspective - and from this, you can then understand that the LMP91051 could be used in a medical or healthcare device/application, seems reasonable.
