My customer wanted to know what is the Average power dissipation of DRV5023?

    Figure 1 of the DRV5023 datasheet shows the typical characteristics of the device’s current consumption across input voltage and temperature. Based on the input supply voltage, the supply current and power can be calculated from Figure 1.

    If the customer doesn’t need the device to always be ON, they can also duty cycle power to the device to reduce the average current consumption. When duty cycling power, please note that you must wait until the power-on time, tON, elapses after powering the device before reading the output of the device. Section 7.3.3 of the datasheet has more info on the power-on time requirements.
