BOOSTXL-BASSENSORS: TMP116 Incorrect Measurements

Part Number: BOOSTXL-BASSENSORS
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR6989, TMP116

Hello,

We are currently using the BASSENSORS boosterpack in conjunction with the MSP430FR6989 launchpad.  We are able to properly configure I2C communications between the sensors that use them.  The issue comes with the TMP116 temperature measurements.  Currently, we are reading about 5 degrees celcius higher than expected on our values.  We believe our conversion code is correct, and the I2C receive register is reading in hex values that correspond to incorrect temperature.

Is there any reason for this innaccuracy?
