TMP102: TMP102

Part Number: TMP102
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP116, TMP302, TMP303

My question is about changing the default setting for T(High) of the TMP102. We have been using the sensor in a lot of designs and customers have been in production with this on our modules. The way we have connected the ALERT pin is such that when the temp. is higher than T(High) it will hold the module in reset by pulling a LOW on the ALERT. Its been working without any issue so far in the 0-70C range.

Lately, there is a need for the module to "power-up" @ 85 C and start working from that temperature and this causes a problem due to the T(High) default setting. We know that we can change the setting but since the system is powered up @ 85C, the TMP102 holds the system in reset. So reaching out to TI to see is there a way we can change the default.

We also plan to use the sensor in other products where the "power-up" temperature is higher than 85C and hence the solution you provide will allow us to use the sensor in extended temperature products also.
