OPT3004EVM: High/low level interrupt in sleep mode

Part Number: OPT3004EVM

Hi,

Good day.

Our customer is using the OPT3004EVM and they have inquiry about the interrupt as described below.

I have setup an application to trigger an alarm in case of reaching high and low limit by setting the registers 0x02 and 0x03.
the "Mode of conversion operation field (read or write)" of Configuration Register (offset = 01h) has been set to "11 = Continuous conversions".
Will the high and low limit indication still work if the conversion mode is set to "00 = Shutdown (default)", in order to save energy battery powered devices? or must I always have conversion mode set to continuous in order to support the high and low limit interrupts?

Looking forward to your inputs. Thank you.

Regards,

Cedrick
