TMP461: the difference between TMP461AIRUNT-S and TMP461AIRUNT

Part Number: TMP461

Dear ，

customer said they ordered  the full part number  TMP461AIRUNT,  but now they order the full part number is TMP461AIRUNT-S;I check that the datasheet shows that it only is TMP461AIRUNT-S,;

so could you tell me the difference between TMP461AIRUNT-S and TMP461AIRUNT

    Dear Cooper - 

    there is no difference. the only orderable part numbers for this device are: 

    TMP461AIRUNR-S and TMP461AIRUNT-S

    with the only difference between those being the quantity on the reel (3kU vs 250U, respectively) - this information can always be found in TI datasheets, in the package option addendum.

    Cooper - 

    while the non -S variant is an active part #, that is currently listed as OK to order and OK to ship in the backend system, it does not appear as a variant anywhere else and is not offered publicly. The datasheet was changed in 2016 to reflect this, although it is not noted as such in the revision history. Therefore, as far as you and customer should be concerned, the two part #s to choose from are TMP461AIRUNR-S and TMP461AIRUNT-S. Furthermore, to answer/close the question - the devices are all the same, just the addition of the -S is what changed.
