LDC1612: About SDA output logic after IC startup

Part Number: LDC1612

Hi team,

I have a question about  SDA outoput logic after LDC startup.

The initial logic of the SDA line is pull-up.

About 0.8ms after power-on, SDA (No.2) outputs the Low logic for 1us.

Is SDA logic behaving correctly?

And if answer is correct, why is it behaving like that?

Best regards,

  • Shouhei,

Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in TI products.

My guess is the device is entering sleep mode after power-up, and is waiting to be configured.
For more info, please see section 7.4 of the data sheet.

If that is not the cause, then I have a few questions:
    1. What do the other device/pin waveforms look like after power-up?
2, How are you configuring the device?
    3. What is the reported device status when the SDA line goes low?

    Regards,
    John

  • Hi John.

Thank you for your kind reply.

I have a quesution in your answer.

If the device is entering sleep mode,  SDA pin outputs Low?

I'm not sure that the device is entering sleep mode.

    So I answered your question.

If that is not the cause, then I have a few questions:
    1. What do the other device/pin waveforms look like after power-up? > I only confirmed the SCL pin and SCL don't output anything.

2, How are you configuring the device? > I'm still checking. If you want to know the parameter for configuring, I could not answer.

    3. What is the reported device status when the SDA line goes low? > When LDC outputs low, the receiver IC is not working. So I'm not sure the device status.

    Best Regards,

    Shohei

  • Apologies Shohei.
I have been in the lab today for an urgent customer emergency and have been unable to look into your questions.
I will have an update on Thursday.

    Regards,
    John

  • Shohei,

    Are you using our EVM?
If so, are you using our GUI software?
