TMP100-EP: slave address for TMP100-EP

Part Number: TMP100-EP

Hi TI expert

I want to know the slave address of TMP100-EP. It is in Page 10 in datasheet.

But as per the IC only last two bits are user defined, but in the table given, last 3 bits are changing, how?

Best regards,

Thomas

  • Dear Thomas -

The part will sample the state of the address pins to determine which I2C address it will ACK. The MCU firmware should then be written to send the correct address for the hardware configuration you have.

For example, if you have chosen to set ADD1 and ADD0 pins to GND, then the part will respond to 0x90 (8 bit) and 0x91 (8 bit) for writes and reads. If you set ADD1 to float and ADD0 to high, then the part will respond to 0x9E (8 bit) and 0x9F (8 bit) for writes and reads.
