AWR1443BOOST: uniflash cannot format AWR1443

Part Number: AWR1443BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1443, UNIFLASH

greeting,

I am currently playing with AWR1443 + mmWDevPack + TSW1400, and I am following the tutorial at [mmWave_sensor_raw_data_capture_using_TSW1400_board_v3.pdf], and I met the problem I cannot `Erasing the EVM flash` at page 6.

My configuration is below:

1. Uniflash version 5.3.1, the device is always detectable and I can go to next step

2. I notice to change to port as COM 18

3. I notice to change the jumper from [SOP0-ON, SOP1-ON, SOP2-OFF]  to  [SOP0-ON, SOP1-OFF, SOP2-ON], see photo attached below

4. I even try Uniflash version 5.3.1 on MacOS with correct port number, but it stuck again.

5. I got sufficient 5V-3A power supply.

I guess it might be AER1443 is kinda out-of-date, Do you have older  version Uniflash like 4.1.0 I can try?

Best.

Jet

  • Hello Jet,

Looks like something seems to be restricting the access to the COM port, are you able to connect to the same COM port using some other UART application like hyperterminal of tera term? Are there any administrative privileges required on your PC to access the COM ports?

If the connection is successful, you usually get a message saying "Connection to COM port successful, flashing can proceed." in uniflash.

    Regards,

    Ishita

  • I tried on another Window laptop and it works this time. Tho no idea why it make difference.

    Best.
