OPT3002: What is the LUX value for the LSB using 100 mS integration?

Part Number: OPT3002

Hello,

We are evaluating a OPT3002 for use in a light scattering instrument. The signal will be very low for extremely smooth surfaces. As a result, we expect to operate the OPT3002 at the low end of it's range. Using the 800 mS integration time our measurements indicate that the OPT3002 will work; however using the 100 mS integration time the system is on the edge. The data sheet suggests that the least resolvable illuminance is 1.2 nW/cm^2. We're not seeing sensitivity within 2 orders of magnitude of this. Can you tell me if the 1.2 nW/cm^2 is measured with a integration time different than 800 or 100 mS? Does this device only work with 800 or 100 mS integration, or can I let it "free wheel" and grab data as fast as the I2C bus will allow?

Thanks,

Patrick
