LMT87-Q1: Operation over TJ max

Hi Champs,

Regarding to LMT8x-Q1 device, my customer asks following questions.

 

  • LMT8x-Q1 measurement range and Tj-max are the same. Is it OK that LMT8x-Q1 put in 150C ambient temperature?

  • What kind of failure would occur if LMT8x-Q1 device is exposed in a 160C ambient temperature?

    LMT8x-Q1 is specified for 150C and the quiescent current of LMT8x-Q1 is quite low (negligible self-heating) so it should work in 150C ambient.

    At 160C, we can expect reliability and performance issues over time but we cannot make guarantees outside of specs.
