IWR1443BOOST: BPM for 3 Tx antennas

Part Number: IWR1443BOOST

Hello,

currently I am looking more into BPM.

I think I understand the BPM explained in "MIMO Radar" (SWRA554), but with one issue ( I think there is a little mistake in that document):
In the document on page 7 it is stated, that S_a = S_1 + S_2 and S_b = S_1 - S_2. The two signals could be seperated by S_1 = (S_a+S_b)/2, S_2 = (S_a + S_b).
I think the equation for S_2 is wrong and it should be S_2 = (S_a - S_b)/2. (Otherwise it also would be S_1 = S_2.)

Besides that, my main interest is to understand, how you would use BPM for 3Tx antennas.
While I was thinking of if and looking at an figure with a possible transmit pattern, I was wondering if you really need BPM then.
Please take a look at the attached picture.

If the pictured method is possible, I don't really need BPM - right?
Or where is my mistake?

If it is not possible in the way I have pictured, how would you send chirps with 2 Tx antennas simultaneously for all 3 Tx antennas?

Thank you very much,
Enric
