HDC2010EVM: Driver installation issue

Part Number: HDC2010EVM

I have followed the directions in the user guide for installation several times now. It never begins the driver installation wizard and therefore it will not connect with the eval board. Is there a separate download link or can someone send me the driver to install and fix this issue. Thanks.

  • Howdy Alexander.,

There is a chance that an incorrect driver was installed if the device was plugged into the PC before software installation.  Please follow the listed procedure to correct driver installation.

    - Plug in USB HDC2010EVM

    - Open "Device Manager" in Windows  and click on "Ports (COM &LPT1)"

    - Verify what driver is currently assigned to the plugged in USB device, you can find this out by disconnecting and reconnecting the EVM.  Please make note of the port name.  Right click on the port name and click "uninstall"

    - After the driver for the hardware is uninstalled, disconnect the USB HDC2010EVM

    - Re-install GUI software with the HDC2010EVM disconnected

    - After the GUI has installed, then connect HDC2010EVM hardware.

Once these steps are followed, you should be able to evaluate the HDC2010EVM.  If you still have issues with EVM operation please update the post, otherwise please press the verify button if this solution solves the issue.

    Best Regards,

    Matt
