    You could refer to below AWR1642 Bootloader Flow document, In this document : section 2.1 Bootmode – SFLASH gives details about the process involved in flash loading operation. We would be able to support JEDEC compliant and SFDP command supported flashes.

    We have tested with Spansion S25FL256S, S25FL132K0XNFB010,
    Macronix MX25L3233F, MX25R1635FZNIH0 (Wide voltage part variant),
    Macronix Auto-qualified parts : MX25U1633FZNQ, MX25V1635FZNQ, MX25V8035FM1Q

    I am sorry, I missed your reply and just see it today.
    Several months ago, I posted a ticket e2e.ti.com/.../656273
    A customer is using ISSi's IS25LP080D-JULA3 , and we require them to use the flash variant whose QE bit is set to 1 already. In boot loader application notes, there is also description:
    ______________________________________
    For SDF variants that support quad mode, the quad mode commands are issued; if the quad enable
    (QE) bit is not set, the communication will fail.
    ______________________________________

    Is these restriciton still there in ES2.0?

    Hi Adam,


    We had checked earlier IS25LP080D-JULA3 device also should be able to work with 1642 Device.

    We have made enhancement to boot loader, now if quad mode fails to boot in the above condition, chip will make another attempt to boot serial flash from normal serial SPI mode (non-quad) interface.
