AWR1642BOOST: High Accuracy Lab: Measuring an deviation in the distance

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Hi,

in the High Accuracy Lab we are measuring every time an deviation to the target.

In our case ist the target a metal plate and the deviation/ offset is everytime in the range 6-7,5cm.

We had change the distance to the target betwenn 20 to 40cm but we have had everytime a deviation in the measurred distance.

We had use the standard configuration for the test and change the range-config for our distance "RangeLimitCfg 2 1 0.2 0.5"

How can we eleminate or reduce the deviation?

Best regards

Matthias

  • Hi Matthias,

  • Hi Matthias,

The offset does exist, not just in high accuracy lab, also in the mmw demo. It requires calibration and subtraction of offset. In mmw demo, cli command compRangeBiasAndRxChanPhase was implemented for that purpose. However we have not done the same for the high accuracy lab. We are planning to add the feature. In the meantime, manually run calibration of the range and modify the visualizer code to take in the offset is the suggested method.

Let me know if you have any other question.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Michelle
