Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1642BOOST, IWR1642

Hi to all,

I have a query regarding. Is possible to interface IWR1642BOOST(EVB) with other controller. If it yes what is the peripheral and data format?

Any answers, it would be appreciated.

    Hello,

Please refer to table 3.1 of the datasheet for the available peripherals for the IWR1642

    Thanks,

    Amanda

  • Dear Sir,

    Thanks for your response..

That's ok for IWR1642 IC but we need IWR1642 EVB interfacing to other controller. output data format of also needed.

    Hello,

Please refer to the Users Guide of the IWR1642 for Connecting the BoosterPack to the LaunchPad or the MMWAVE-DEVPACK
    www.ti.com/.../swru521a.pdf

The reference design also gives an example of LaunchPad use with the Boost EVM: www.ti.com/.../tidud26a.pdf

The output data format will be dependent on the software you are using, please refer to the documentation of the software.

    Best,
    Amanda
  • thanks for the response...
Is there any possibility to get data without DEVPACK.

    Hello,

Can you please describe your application or use case and what data you are looking to get?
The IWR1642Boost can of course be used in stand alone mode to acquire data which is delivered via UART as described in the Traffic Monitoring TI Design www.ti.com/.../TIDEP-0090

    Thanks for your support,

    Hello,

Please refer to the data sheet which lists the interfaces available on the IWR1642BOOST (UART, SPI, I2C). The type of data and data format will depend on the code you choose to deploy on the target/device. Please refer to the documentation of the software for data format.
