AWR1642BOOST: UNIFLASH will add extra 4 bytes data after firmware binary

Hi,

When I read the flash memory, I found that there are 4 bytes 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x24 right after the firmware binary data.
I tried some binary files but these 4 bytes data are always same 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x24.
What are these for?

Hi Kevin,
Did you build binary file in Linux PC?
We have seen this behaviour when it's built with Linux OS.

Is the application booting after you flash this binary file (with extra bytes)?

Hi Jitendra,

No, we use Windows PC.

We tried to write ccsdebug.bin which provided by TI into flash by using Uniflash tool but there are extra 4 bytes as you can see the attached.

It is bootable with these extra bytes so actually there is no issue at all but what are these extra bytes?

Does the Uniflash have some bugs?

Looks like Uniflash may be adding extra 4 bytes to make it byte aligned or so.
As you mentioned aplication boots up with these extra bytes, so I take this as a low priority and will raise it to Uniflash team to look into it.
