CCS/TMS320F28027F: initializing a GPIO-17 in TMS320F28027F as general purpose and as External Interrupt

I now successfully can get the frequency from the Hall signals.

I have a very small issue which is , I want to monitor the interrupt flag from ECFLG register.

How could i monitore the bit from ECAP handle?

  if(myCap->ECEFLG.INT)
                {
                    one_rot_time_ms = 30000;
                }

No the object of CAP module contains the ECEFLG.

I tried writting the below patch.

uint16_t Tst5 = myCap->ECEFLG &= 0x00FF;        // 0th bit is INT 

but i couldnt get the register update in my variable.

also I tried writting this patch:

this below patch was added in cap.h

static inline uint16_t CAP_getECEFLAG(CAP_Handle capHandle)
{
uint16_t ECEFLG_INT;
CAP_Obj *cap = (CAP_Obj *) capHandle;
ECEFLG_INT = cap->ECEFLG;
return ECEFLG_INT;

Tst5 = CAP_getECEFLAG(myCap);      // in main.c

but the same problem persists.

Tried with this:

not returning value with the CAP_getECEFLAG() function

Tst5 = (myCap->ECEFLG) & 0x00FF;

The line above should correctly mask myCap.ECEFLG to only show the lower 8 bits. This makes me suspect that myCap->ECEFLG isn't referenced correctly.

Can you try something even more simple like the following and see if the correct value can be found in "TstStructAccess".

TstStructAccess =  myCap->ECEFLG;
Tst5            = (myCap->ECEFLG) & 0x00FF;

If you cannot see the correct value then you need to check your pointers, references, and de-references.

I don't know where you went wrong, either in build the struct, assigning the pointer, passing it by reference to the function or when assigning the pointer in the function itself.

Okay Sir,

My rest of the program works fine. Even the ECAP is working good. Can get CAP1-3 values perfectly. Just stuck with this ECFLG (bit0).
