AWR1642BOOST: Maximum range

Hi Rahul,

IFmax is 5MHz in AWR1642. But Since Maximum Range depends on Slope, so lower the slope, larger the maximum range.

Max Range would also depend on other parameters like transmit power, Antenna gain etc. Refer to below link which would give you an idea of how Maximum range can be measured with key parameters.

What is the difference between the  "Maximum detectable Range" in Scene Parameters and "Max Range for Typical Object"  in Ouput and chirp design?

Which one dictates the actual range?

Also, can you tell me the configuration for the maximum range possible with AWR1642BOOST?

Rahul,

"Max Range for Typical Object" is what should be referred. In the GUI dropdown, You can choise "Long Range Default". This would give you configuration for maximum range.
