TMP107: default temperature limits

Part Number: TMP107

Does the TMP107 come with factory default temperature limits?, if so what are they?

thanks,

Carlos

  • Hi Carlos,

The default values are given on page 28 of the datasheet labeled as reset values. The TMP107 features EEPROM, so it's possible to modify these values in EEPROM. In the event they are modified, the device will reset to the new EEPROM values and not to the values shown in datasheet.

High Limit Register address 2 will default to 0x7FFC. Since the last two bits are not used, the value of the 14 temperature bits is 0x7FFF. This corresponds to 127.984375C. See Table 1 on page 11. The same is true for High Limit 2 register address 4.

Low Limit Register address 3 will default to 0x8000. Since the last two bits are not used, the value of the 14 temperature bits is 0x2000. This corresponds to -128C. See Table 1 on page 11. The same is true for Low Limit 2 register address 5.

    Thanks,
    Ren
