PGA411Q1EVM: How to reflect register setting on PGA411Q1EVM ?

Hi,

I am trying to measure psychical angle via software (called PGA41x-Q1 EVM) with evaluation kit PGA411Q1EVM. Current angle data cycle on software is 4 cycles while in single psychical cycle(0-360 degree).

Despite modified register(NPLE), Angle data on Pin Configuration was not reflected the pole number(00-1x to 11-4x) that I modified them on the Memory map. How to reflect register setting on the board ?

I believe register of NPLE on DEV_CONFIG1 was over written. but I am not sure how to reflect the setting.

NPLE only affects the commutation encoder output (see figure 36 in the datasheet). It does not affect any other angle output, so the behavior you see is correct.

NPLE is not supposed to be set to "match" the number of poles in your resolver sensor.

Dear Clancy,

It seems I misunderstood this register. I am clear.
One more thing, my procedure of overwriting register is correct or not ?

My procedure is..
1. Set Device State: Diagnostics mode.
2. Modified register on Memory Map.
3. Search "Register name that should be overwritten" on Search Registers.
4. Click "Write Selected".
5. Set Device State: Normal mode.
end
Once this procedure was done. New setting would reflect immediately. I believe..
