Hello TI,

i read all technical documents, User Guide and Forums, Finally I run Successfully PplcountQuick start .bin and GUI .exe now i can able to see the IWR1642 performance but there is some issues ...
1.when i try to run matlab main_pplcount_viz.m file for Debug the PPl_count imported project there is not connect com port
2.when i use pplcount_gui.exe for debug PPl_count imported project there is not detected any people count

TI provided PplCoun.bin filre and PplCount.exe file working together properly

i face that two different issues

please guide to resolve this issue to processed further development

Hi Rahul,

Please check to see that you are using the c6000 7.4.16 compiler for the DSS project. If not, you will need to install this compiler to properly compile the People Counting Demo. See this post for details.

To ensure you can connect to Matlab, please ensure that no other software is using the comports - Uniflash and the Matlab executable commonly steal the comports. You can manually type in the com port number into the GUI if necessary.

i install c6000 7.4.16 compiler facing same issue
com port status not connected

Hi Rahul,

Based on your picture above, it appears that you are connecting to the device, but you are unable to get detection data. Please check the project settings and ensure that you are using the 7.4.16 compiler to compile the lab.

I share Matlab Command window for reference

For compiler i use this steps (as per Guidelines http://dev.ti.com/tirex/# )
1.windows-> Preferences
2. Preferences
a.Code composer studio
b.Build
c. Compiler
3.Compiler
Add->tool discovery path
4. Apply

can need to anything else ...?

Hi Rahul,

In the CCS window, right click on the pplcount_dss_16xx project and then click properties. This will open a new window. In the "General" tab, there is an option to switch compilers. Please choose v7.4.16 to properly compile the project.

Thank you Justin for your valuable guidelines...

After selecting right compiler for generating PPLCount .bin file, pplcount_gui.exe work fine (Its shows accepted output)
