Hello,

mmWaveStudio LUA scripts can invoke external matlab code. The external matlab code can invoke ar1command like this :

    Lua_String = 'ar1.StartFrame()';
    ErrStatus = RtttNetClientAPI.RtttNetClient.SendCommand(Lua_String);
    if (ErrStatus ~= 30000)
        disp('Radarstudio Connection Failed');
    end

This command would start capturing and saving incoming raw data into adc_data.bin, but do you have any options to do start streaming without saving the file ? I would like to handle udp packets directly in matlab code.

Hello Naoki,
Current tool of DCA1000 doesn't stream but only stores to a file. But as this data stream over specific IP and port, you can snoop in on that data and processing on the fly.

Hello JG,

Thanks for your quick response. Ok. Maybe this is out of scope for e2e, but if i snoop in the specific IP and port, what can happen ? Is the raw data coming into the udp receive buffer in matlab context , and at the same time, it will be stored to the file ?

Hi Naoki,

I'm afraid we do not support this use-case at this time. For now, the only supported way to access the ADC data is to save it to a file.

Ok. Let me clarify one more thing. You mention no support at this time. Does it mean you have a plan for real time streaming in the future release ?

Hi NK,

At this time, we do not plan to enable real time streaming. However, if the source for the DCA1000 DLL were available, you might be able to write your own streaming receiver.

At this time, this source is not available.
