IWR6843: How to bring ADC data over LVDS

I am working on getting ADC raw data out over LVDS.

I could not figure out so far how to do this, with the provided examples.

Is there a way to setup the IWR6843 over SPI / Uart from a host processor and just stream the adc data back over LVDS?

I expect the DCA1000EVM to something similar, but I could not found any function principal how the mmWaveStudio is configuring the IWR6843.

Alternatively, Is there a CCS Project which supports setting up LVDS so far, or is one planned for the near future?

Hi Roger,

We do not have an LVDS raw data streaming example in the current SDK. This functionality was supported in MMWAVE_SDK 1.1.0.2 in the IWR16xx capture demo. You can try to port the capture demo from that SDK to SDK 3.1.1.2 to work on IWR6843.

Hi Roger,

Perhaps I misunderstood your original question. Do you just want to get raw ADC data from the IWR6843 using the DCA1000 EVM and MMWAVE-STUDIO? Please look at the following resources which provide information and detailed instructions about capturing raw data with DCA1000.

Just to clear up any misunderstandings.
My final goal is to have source code for the IWR6843, where it directly outputs the raw adc data over LVDS. I will then further process the raw adc data in our hardware.

In my understanding, this is exactly what the DCA1000 does, except the source code is not available.

As far I have seen, there are generated binaries in the MMwaveStudio folder, also for the IWR6843, what means, TI has running source code for this issue. Actually this source code is not available anywhere.

I would highly appreciate, if I could get this source code as starting point for our development.
