Dear TI

How to measure the inductance if i use two channel. 1st channel is for sensing coil and the 2nd channel is for reference coil.

When my hand is approaching the sensor coil, the reference coil inductance also change. What is the equation for differential measurement?

Janine,

If the reference coil inductance is changing when your hand approaches, then the reference coil must not be shielded correctly. Ideally, it should have a fixed target in front of it. The reference coil is not supposed to react to the target moving.

Resolution, the LDC1314 has 12 bits of resolution while the LDC1614 has 28 bits. This means that the LDC1314 has additional gain settings, which aren't necessary with the LDC1614.

They are pin to pin compatible, so it is possible to replace the IC if you determine that more or less resolution is necessary.
