OPT3001: Production test method and SOP guide

Part Number: OPT3001

Hi Ti team,

We take OPT3001DNPR for smart watch product

1,Would you pls suggest how to test the sensor during production?

2,Could you provide SOP guide?

thanks!

  • Hi Jimmy,

To answer this question I will need some more info like below. If you can provide this then I can help here further.

    1. Could you please provide some more details on the implementation? Where is the sensor going to be located and what will it be behind? Is it looking through a display, dark glass, transparent glass, etc?

Also more details on what the customer is looking to test for. That the sensor is working from an electrical perspective or that the sensor is working from an optical perspective? Do they need to verify it is working to within a certain accuracy?

    2. What is SOP?

    Best,

    Alex
  • Alex,

At present, the light sense is added to our TP FPC, we will arrange SMT to be made, and then it will be assembled with AMOLED screen and pass through the AMOLED screen for light perception. The customer requires a functional test before shipment to determine whether it is normal. How do you test this? thanks!
  • Hi Jimmy,

I think best would be to take this offline. I had a call this morning with a request that sounds quite similar to this so I'd like to align and see if it is the same project. Can you please contact me by email at bhandari at ti.com and also let me know who the customer is. If it is the same we may be able to consolidate to not spend extra time.

There were three e2e posts with the same question including this one so if any of the other posters want to be kept in the loop they can also contact me over email.

    Best,

    Alex
