IWR1642BOOST: mmWave Demo Visualizer - No data on data port

Team,

my customer wants to use mmWave Demo Visualizer to evaluate our IWR1642BOOST.
The hardware is connected via COM4, but there is no data coming on COM3.

Can you describe the process to work with the IWR1642BOOST and mmWave Studio?

Hi Franziskus,

Would customer be able to show the "Console" from the "Configure" pane? This might provide more insight and we'll need more information.

The Ports show the "Hardware Connected" message but it does not say "waiting for data" leading me to believe that the actual run-time portion of the demo has not yet been started.

Akash,

I just received an update: the IWR1642BOOST works with an older version of the Demo Visualizer. We have handed over the EVM some time ago, so it seems to be populated with an older die revision that does not work with Demo Visualizer 3.2.0. It works with version 2.1.0 and SDK version 2.0

Hi Franziskus,

This is correct the IWR1642, IWR1443 for mmWave-SDK 2.x versions should instead use the Demo Visualizer 2.1.
