Hi Experts,

I would like to use XDS560v2 with AWR1843BOOST (rev.A) and MMWAVE-DEVPACK.
I referred the docs below and it seems it is working but the trace does not work.
The error message is "Cound not run analyzer on Coretex_R4_0. Cause: This receiver does not support tracing this device."

2.4.4 MIPI 60-Pin JTAG Connector (J3)

Step1. XDS110 JTAG portion was removed from AWR1843BOOST
Step2. AWR1843BOOST does not have RTCK. Therefore, the TCK with a weak series resister is connected to the RTCK.

Is there any other modification needed for the trace function?

Hi,

We have to check with the emulation team is this feature is supported on the AWR devices. It may not be supported?

Here is the update I have received from Emulation team

The Cortex R cores do not have the built-in Embedded Trace Buffer (ETB), therefore it is impossible to Trace anything using a simple 4-wire JTAG.

The AWR family of devices has provision for core pin trace using external pins, but the BOOST boards do not have these pins routed to any connector.

In order to use the core pin trace, you also need the TMDSEMUPROTRACE pod.

Thank you for the information which helps us a lot.
AWR1843 has the Core Pin Trance function and the trace would work with TMDSEMUPROTRACE pod.
