IWR1443BOOST: Tx output power back-off of Tx2 and Tx3 does not work

Hello support team,

Tx output power back-off of Tx2 and Tx3 does not work. It's work for Tx1 normally. Is something wrong with my config file?

Condition:
IWR1443BOOST ES3.0 with SDK2.1.0.4 demo binary image,
mmWave Demo Visualizer 2.1.0,
The target is a corner reflector made by bonding three 10 cm square metal plates with ~3.33m away from EVM.
Config files are attached.

Reading of Range Profile Zero Doppler (dB) of visualizer is:
Tx1 txOurPower 0, 10, 20, 30 = 115.8965, 105.3605, 94.82455, 85.79355.
Tx3 txOurPower 0, 10, 20, 30 = stuck to 117.4017
Tx2 txOurPower 0, 10, 20, 30 = stuck to 160.5493

Hi Charles,

I changed the TX power by changing the value of <txOutPower> of profileCfg, the fifth parameter next of <rampEndTime>. In the attached config files, TX power back off is set to 30dB.

Hi Charles,

I took more data with various configuration.
TX channel configuration looks to work strange.
Please look into the attached spreadsheet.

Case1: TX1 is enabled by ChirpCfg.
             If TX2 is enabled over TX1 being enabled by ChannelCfg, detected power is increased.
Case2: TX3 is enabled by ChirpCfg.
             If TX2 is enabled over TX3 being enabled by ChannelCfg, detected power is increased.
             Tx output power back off is not functional.
Case3: TX2 is enabled by ChirpCfg.
             Tx output power back off is not functional.
Case4: # of RX channel being enabled looks no effect to detected power.

TX CH antenna mask setting by channelCfg is properly set to the TX ch configuration by profileCfg I believe.
I can share all config files for the data taken, if you need.

Hi Charles,

Does it mean
if 30dB back off for Tx3, txOutPower = 1966080,
if 30dB back off for Tx2, txOutPower = 7680,
in config file?

Hi Charles,

I confirmed that txOutPower works for each TX channel. TX2 power control slope looks steeper than -1dB/txOutPower. Because the data is the value of detected point by demo visualizer, it may not be true.
The description of <txOutPower> of profileCfg in Table 1: mmWave SDK Demos - CLI commands and parameters in MMWAVE SDK User Guide is poor. I request TI to update. Anyway, Thanks a lot.
