MMWAVEICBOOST: obsolete

Part Number: MMWAVEICBOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843ISK, IWR6843ISK-ODS, IWR1443, IWR1642

Hello,

We would like to perform some evaluation test of mm wave sensors for people recognition. I found IWR6843ISK board, that needs to be connected to MMWAVEICBOOST, however I can not find any distribution channel how to get it, then I get info form TI support, that MMWAVEICBOOST is obsolete.

Is there some other option how to use IWR6843ISK (or IWR6843ISK-ODS) with TI mmWave tools.

I saw there was some other boards incorporating the IWR1443 and IWR1642.

Application is for people recognition, what would be the best dev kit tool for testing such application?

Thank you. Lukas

  • Hi Lukas,

You'll want to order the IWR6843ISK Starter Bundle, this includes both the ISK and MMWAVEICBOOST. Also worth noting is that the MMWAVEICBOOST is NOT obsolete and is an active EVM at this time.

You will also want to try the People Counting Demo on your EVM once you have received it.

Let me know if you have more questions!

    Cheers,

    Akash

  • Hello Akash.

I have tried to order MMWAVEICBOOST and IWR6834ISK two times via TI-store, how ever after approx. one week the order was canceled, with no explanation, therefore I have asked on support for the reason, and the answer I get was that the MMWAVEICBOOST is obsolete and therefore unavailable.

    TI order number: T00433007

When I was trying to find any distributor having the MMWAVEICBOOST in stock, I've found none.

Could you please find out what is the reason for the cancelation of my order? and where I can get IWR6843ISK and MMWAVEICBOOST ?

    BR,

    Lukas

  • Hi Lukas,

Unfortunately I cannot as E2E forums are intended for engineering and technical support. I'd recommend getting in touch with TI Sales Support in order to resolve this.

    Cheers,
