CCS/AWR1843BOOST: The method of improving angle resolution for AWR1843 EVM

Hi,

Now the angle resolution is about 15° and it is low for application，I want to know whether there is a software menthod by adding some code (not to change the PCB board) to improve it, if it is possible, can you provide some suggestions or documents about that?

Hello Rata,

There are SW methods for improving the angle resolution like using MUSIC,ESPIRIT super resolution algorithms.

We do not have their implementation in our processing chain. Also there is no plan to include them in the existing processing chain .

Thanks for your reply, I know nothing about MUSIC,ESPIRIT super resolution algorithm,I have search the web,and find little information, do you have some reference material? What is the reason of no plan to include them? Because the algrithm is so complex that the MCU have no ability to process it?

There is no reference material available from TI other than what is available in the web.

Please refer to the web and work on your algorithms.
