AWR1642BOOST: [Demo Visualizer] Measuring the RCS by using a corner reflector as reference

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

As my original questions have not been answered (e2e.ti.com/.../3073763), I want to raise one of them again:

Is it possible to measure the RCS of targets by using a corner reflector as a reference?

What I want to do is the following: Read off the peak value of a corner reflector with known RCS and in known distance to the radar. The peak value given by the mmWave Demo Visualizer should then be proportional to the received power of the radar range equation. Subsequently, knowing this relationship and the distance to any other target in the scene, I should be able to estimate these RCSs.

Please comment on the viability of this approach.
