DCA1000EVM: Port numbers

I am trying to set up u the DCA1000 for raw data capture from the AWR1642, however when I downloaded mmWave Studio the FDI CDM Driver package installation failed with a warning; "Unable to install FTDI drivers , unknown signal".

I connect the DCA to my computer and per instructions in the User Guide tried to search for drivers but was unsuccessful. How do I get the port numbers for tis device?

Hi,

You will nee d to install the FTDI drivers in order to use the DCA1000.

Tried several times including browsing with thee message being Windows cannot find drivers for my device.

I followed the procedure as outlined in the mmWave Studio Guide. I am using the Guide mmwave_studio_02_00_00_02. The message is "we have found drivers but windows encountered a problem while attempting to install" (several trials)with the suggestion I check with the manufacturer. Any ideas?

Lincoln,

I would suggest that you uninstall mmWave Studio and reinstall in Administrator Mode.

Lincoln,

Make sure you are connecting the USB cable to the "RADAR_FTDI" port and not to the "FPGA_JTAG". If this does not work, you may need to reflash the FPGA image. Instructions on how to do that are included in the User's Guide for the DCA1000EVM.

I am connected properly. Is there a way to download the FTDI package separately from the rest of the mmwave Studio package. Everything else is fine except the FTDI.

The FTDI drivers are included as part of the mmWave Studio installation. I would try uninstalling the four FTDI ports from Windows Device Manager and attempt the driver setup again.

I have exhausted all I know to try. I have found drivers but with a message that the installation to the DCA 1000 failed (several times). I tried the XDS download with the a message that my computer is 64bit so will not run the 32 bit driver,could this be the problem and what can I do?
