TMP468: RC filter location and series resistance

Part Number: TMP468

Hi team,

Could you help to confirm below questions?

1. What's the Rs and Cdiff location we should place in layout? close to remote transistor or temperature?

2. Does the 1k ohm maximum resistance include Rs1, Rs2 and the loop resistance from D+ to D-? (Rs1+Rs2+RD+ to D- < 1k)?

3. Do we have any suggestions to set Rs1 and Rs2 for a start point?

Thank you.

Regards,

Allen

  • Hi,

Below is my feedback to your inquiries.

    1. What's the Rs and Cdiff location we should place in layout? close to remote transistor or temperature?

Place the Rs and Cdiff filter close to the TMP468.

    2. Does the 1k ohm maximum resistance include Rs1, Rs2 and the loop resistance from D+ to D-? (Rs1+Rs2+RD+ to D- < 1k)?
Yes, the series resistance includes Rs1, Rs2 and the resistance of the remote device. The total series resistance must be less than 1kohm.

    3. Do we have any suggestions to set Rs1 and Rs2 for a start point?
The filter circuit components are application dependent so the only suggestions is to stay within the 1000pF capacitance and 1kohm series resistance.

    Thanks,
