TMP116: NIST EEPROM Codes for our Customers

Part Number: TMP116

Hello,

We plan to use the TMP116 in an embedded system and we would like to be able to provide our customers with the ability to request the NIST certificates from TI if they wish. We can extract the EEPROM codes and supply them to the customer. First of all, is this something we should be considering?

If we do supply them to the customer, where can they go to get the NIST certificates for particular EEPROM codes?

Finally, is there a particular format we should supply the codes in? Was thinking of formatting it like a HEX String/MAC Address or something.

Many Thanks
Tom

  • Hi Tom,

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your question.

We do not provide an automated solution for corresponding the device traceability information in the EEPROM registers to a specific device. We also do not provide individual certificates by device. This would make the proposed system not really feasible.

If you'd like a copy of our official NIST statement regarding TMP116, you can click on my name and send me a friend request and I can share it via private message.

    Best Regards,
