TMP117: TMP117

Part Number: TMP117

I too, would like an example calibration certificate.  Ideally the calibration certificate will include the uncertainty of the calibration standard, thus providing a traceable temperature calibration.

  • The document located at the link is not sufficient for my needs.

    Please supply a document with a logo from an ISO-17025 accredited body.  Some examples include, NAB, A2LA, NVLAP.  To move forward I need evidence of traceability.  The document supplied thus far is not that.
    Thank you

  • Hi Vince,

    We do not provide individual certificates by device like you would find for a calibrated probe. We do however warranty that the performance of each device will be within datasheet specifications as described in the calibration letter I shared. I have sent you an FAQ Regarding our NIST Policy via private message.

  • Brandon;

    Please see inline, below.

    I am not looking for individual certificates.  I want to understand the traceability of your production.

    > We do however warranty that the performance of each device will be within datasheet specifications as described in the calibration letter I shared.

    This is just a promise.  I imagine my recourse is a full refund of every part that I can demonstrate is out of spec.  That is, essentially, no recourse at all.

    NIST control numbers do not establish traceability.  They might as well be ticket numbers in a service queue.

    Traceability is established through the use of ISO-17025 accredited labs and uncertainty budgets, not promises.

    TI makes an extraordinary claim when the state the accuracy of the TMP117 part is 0.1ºC.  This is better than the best RTDs with an excellent readout.  This is in the realm of SPRT measurements.  I would love to start including these parts in my product, but I need traceability.  Please help me get there.

  • Hi Vince,
