IWR6843: raw data compatible processors and interfaces

Part Number: IWR6843

Hi champs,

We understand that to evaluate raw data flow use on IWR6843, the following boards must be used :

http://www.ti.com/tool/IWR6843AOPEVM

the ADC buffer raw data of the IWR6843 chip could be transmitted through the internal CBUFFcontroller (Common Buffer Controller) and then output on the LVDS high speed interface of the IWR6843 chip (please refer to the IWR6843 Technical Reference Manual  Ch14 “High-Speed Interface (HSI)”

http://www.ti.com/tool/MMWAVEICBOOST

The Raw analog-to-digital converter (ADC) are transmitted on LVDS interface through the 60-Pin High Density (HD) Connector(J4 and J17) and then transmitted through the 60-Pin High Density (HD) Connector (J10 / DCA1000 EVM connector for data capturing)

http://www.ti.com/tool/DCA1000EVM

The Raw data is transmitted through the 60-Pin High Density (HD) Connector and can be streamed out via 1-Gbps Ethernet in real time. The data format can be raw sensor data or headerized multimode data

Q1/ Do you confirm the here above statement and details ?

Q2/ For a final product, what kind of solution could you advise in order to use only raw data (cloud point, processing … are not needed here)? Do you have any example of LVDS compatible processors? Is it possible to output raw data in another more basic format and then in a more classical interface like a serial interface (SPI, UART … )?

Thank you

Best regards,

Guillaume
