Hi, I'm running Windows 10 and am having issues with the TDC7201EVM + MSP-EXP430FR5529LP. I've installed Labview and upon launching it I get the message "The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabVIEW is required to fix the erros." I'm not sure what this means. Is it incompatible with my version of Windows? I've reinstalled the software and get the same message. I'm also unable to update the firmware the debug tab of the GUI. When I click "Update Firmware" no window pops up and the button turns blue.

Hi John,

You should be able to run the TDC720xEVM GUI on Windows 10. The error message you've received indicates you may need to install the LabVIEW Runtime Engine: https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview.html#329458

Hi,

I recently got the GUI to work properly on my desktop, but still cannot get it working on my laptop. Both computers have NI Package manager installed, and are using LabVIEW Runtime (32-bit) version 2019 SP1 f1.

I installed TDC720xEVM version 1.2.43 on both, as well as NI-VISA Runtime 5.4.0. My laptop still shows the message "The full version of Labview is required", but my desktop does fine. Any more input?

Hi John,

I recommend contacting National Instruments to find out why you are receiving the message "The full version of LabVIEW is required." They should be able to more specifically help you identify the low level differences between the LabVIEW drivers and supporting files on your desktop versus your laptop.

Can you try downloading and installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=1639 ? We have recently identified this to be the primary reason why some users are unable to run the TDC1000 and TDC720xx EVM GUIs because most new PCs running the Win10 OS no longer include this older version of the .NET Assembly framework.
