IWR6843ISK: Support for different pin config for mmwave studio

Hi,

The serial port could be different from the XDS110, on the AOP EVM we use the CP2015.

For the FTDI the recommendation is to use the same FTDI used on the MMWAVEICBOOST and the DCA100EVM. Which FTDI are you using?

It is not just ftdi serial, but there are sop control, i2c, spi , and various gpio.
I  don't think TI would expect a custom board to follow exactly same pin assignment.
We need a way to config though pins in the  mmwave studio.

TI provides the DCA1000EVM, this is the recommended and supported HW interface for MMWAVESTUDIO.  You can place the 60pin connector on your custom board to connect to the DCA100EVM.

No, custom board might have the 60 pins connectors.
Even if it does, the cover cannot be closed for certification testing.

Unfortunately we currently don't have another readily available solution besides the mmWaveStudio and DCA1000EVM. I an still looking into this and will get back to you on the other alternatives.

Using Matlab or similar platforms you can design your own application for raw data capture, however we currently only support DCA1000EVM and the onboard FTDI for interfacing with the MMWAVESTUDIO

We are not asking TI to support a different custom board.
But there should be a way  to replace the interfacing DLL library that mmwavestudio use to support a custom board.
We can  write the interfacing DLL ourselves as long as the DLL API is well defined.
